Felt uses a 6-deck, H17, DAS, Late Surrender ruleset as its baseline, the most common ruleset found in modern US casinos. You can adjust the rules in the Settings tab to match your local casino, and the strategy chart and drills will update automatically.
Basic strategy is calculated over millions of hands, not individual outcomes. A correct play can still lose. That's normal variance. Felt teaches you to evaluate decisions by the math, not the result.
Card counting is legal. It is not cheating and does not involve any device or outside assistance. Casinos may ask you to stop playing blackjack or leave, but it is not a criminal offense. Felt teaches the Hi-Lo system for educational purposes.
H17 means the dealer hits on Soft 17 (Ace + 6). This gives the house a slightly higher edge compared to S17 (dealer stands on Soft 17). Felt's strategy is calibrated for H17 by default.
Felt is a strategy training tool, not a gambling app. No real money is involved. The chip simulator uses virtual currency only.
